PaceNotes and agents

PaceNotes listens to whatever you are in and puts a live transcript and private tips on your screen. Your agents sit in a bar along the top, so you can see their status. Android access is limited during the pilot. See PaceNotes for Android or Chrome, or use the web app.

Transcribe

PaceNotes listens to a YouTube live, a Zoom or a meeting across the table. You get the transcript as it happens, and tips only you can see. There is no device to buy. It runs on the phone and laptop you already have.

  • Where it runs. The Android app, the Chrome side panel and the web app.
  • Your own agent. Connect an agent such as Claude to your notes, and it reads the call with you. Setup is on the Connect an agent page.

Next: plans and early access

Free plan and early access

Available in the United States only. Free listening access is coming. Request early access. Submitting a request does not create an account or start a trial. Planned prices are on the pricing page.

Next: your agents

Your agents

PaceNotes shows your agents in one list, ordered from the most capable down to agents that do one scoped job. Each agent has a role line under its name. Available actions depend on its configured permissions; a role label does not enforce approval.

GroupWhat it does
LeadCoordinates work using its configured permissions.
DeskHandles desk work using its configured permissions.
SpecialistOne job each, such as JobTread answers.
GruntRuns one fixed job.

Calling and joining conversations are in limited testing and depend on your account's access. Native incoming calls and Face ID approvals are not available yet.

If you want an agent to work your own iPhone or iPad, RC Pair is a separate app, also part of Tread Connection, that lets an agent on your computer see the screen and tap it.

Next: the agent bar

The agent bar

A row of badges across the top of PaceNotes, one for each agent, in the phone app, the web app and the Chrome side panel. The color and the ring tell you the state at a glance.

StateWhat you seeWhat it means
On this callSolid green glow ring, pulsing while it speaksShows an active conversation for accounts with access.
AvailablePlain face, small green dotIt is available for permitted work.
BusySlow amber arc around the faceIt is working on something, and the badge says what.
Can't hearGreyed face, ear with a line through itLocked, Do not disturb, Silent, or unavailable for audio.

Tap a badge to open that agent's window. It shows its history and current status. You can search across your agents.

  • Faces. Each agent has a face. With animation on, the face speaks, listens, looks down while it works and blinks. It respects your device's reduced motion setting.
  • Two settings. Show the agent bar, and animated faces. Both are on by default and stay on that device.

Next: give an agent a task

Tell Grant...

The agent's window ends with a box that reads Tell Grant... (it uses the agent's first name). Type what you want and press Send. Enter sends, and Shift+Enter adds a line.

  • Details. Add links or a due time if you want. You can attach up to five links, and the message can be up to 2,000 characters.
  • Status. Each task shows Sent, Working, Done or Not done, with the agent's reply underneath. If the agent can't go ahead, for example because it needs your typed OK, the reply says why.
  • Limits. A locked agent does not take tasks. An agent that can't hear calls still takes them. Each agent holds up to 20 waiting tasks.

Submitting a task has no separate submission fee. Work it starts is subject to your plan and usage limits.
